Shapes...

1.)    Plate No.2 (Covering of the drawing book using recycled materials and plastic cover)
First, I tried cutting the cover page of a magazine, but that failed. That is why I tried another design. I found colored papers at home and cut that into triangles of different sizes. I then stuck it to the cover page of my drawing book.
I was inspired by my sister at that moment, she is very creative. I saw her project and got the idea of my design. My design is all about happy colors. I actually made sure that the colored papers that I used was neon to make my drawing book brighter.

2.)    Plate No.3 (Designing the first page)
I found some stencils that came with the Barbie doll that I bought last time and used that to design my first page. The first page contains my name and section. I printed the words to make it neater.
I actually used the stencils before to make designs for my room. I wanted my first page too be just like that. I like nature so that was my motif. It looked like garden to me. I imagined the butterflies dancing in the garden and the flowers swaying with the wind.

3.)    Plate No.4 (Folding and Cutting of Basic Shapes and Forms)
a.)    rectangles
A rectangle is any quadrilateral with four right angles. It can also be defined as an equiangular quadrilateral, since equiangular means that all of its angles are equal (360°/4 = 90°), but enough with this meaning. I just stuck the rectangles on the drawing to make the first letter of my name, and it turned out to look good. I really thought that using red and blue would make it look ugly, but I was wrong. They actually complimented each other.
b.)    squares
I made an abstract art from the squares I cut. I was thinking of the boxes that were lying on the floor inside my room. I pasted the squares randomly, but the outcome was really nice.
c.)    circles
I just made the circles and pasted it so it would look like fireworks.

d.)    stars ( 5-pointed, 8-pointed, 4-pointed)
All the stars were made to look like the sky, but it turned out to look like the Christmas designs. I wish I could’ve done better, but it was okay.

4.)    Plate No.5 (Expanding Shapes & Forms)
a.) expanding rectangles     b.) expanding squares     c.) expanding circles
I was thinking of a 3D look when I pasted the expanding shapes. The rectangle was small, but the square was smaller, and the circle was the smallest. I had a hard time cutting the circle because it was so small and if I cut it the slits longer, it would be cut off.

I wish I could share pictures of my works, but I don't have any... :(
